Sewing Tree

We celebrate Arbor Day as they did years ago.
Planting lots of young new trees and watching as they grow.
Here’s what you need:
- Shirt cardboard
- Hole punch
- Markers
- Child Safety Scissors
- Yarn
Here’s What You Do:
- Draw the shape of a tree on the cardboard. Cut it out; then punch holes around the tree
- Color the tree; then sew through holes with yarn.
Tip: Wrap tape around the end for easy sewing.
Sawdust Bugs

Here’s what you need:
- 2 cups (500ml) sawdust
- 1 cup ( 250ml) wallpaper paste
- water
- bowl
- pipe cleaner
Here’s What You Do:
- Mix the sawdust and wallpaper paste in the bowl. Slowly add water until a thick dough forms.
- Shape the dough into bugs; then poke pieces of pipe cleaner into the heads for antennae.
Tip: You can add food coloring to color your bugs Or paint them!
School Days!
Noodle Name Tags!!
Here’s What You Need;
- Alphabet noodles
- Shirt Cardboard
- Poster Paint
- Small Paint brush
- Large safety Pins
- Child Safety Scissors
- Tape
- White Craft Glue
Here’s What You Do:
- Cut the cardboard into a 4”by 1” rectangle (or however big you want) and paint, then dry, then tape the safety pin to the back.
- Use the Alphabet noodles to spell your child’s name. Glue them on the front of the cardboard. Let dry completely.
TIPS: Use larger cardboard to make door tags or desk tags!
